04Program questions
Choosing between the programs
Can I train in both gi and no-gi?
Absolutely. Our membership gives access to both gi and no-gi classes, so you never have to pick one.
Do I need experience to start any of these programs?
No. No prior competition experience is needed — beginners and seasoned athletes learn the same techniques, from the same curriculum, in the same room.
Which program should a complete beginner choose?
Teens and adults start in the adult program — it runs both gi and no-gi, and both take complete beginners. For children, the kids program is the right door. Call the academy and a coach will point you at the right class for your goals.
Do teens train with adults?
Yes. Teens benefit from advanced coaching and regularly train with peers and older athletes in a motivating, structured environment.
Is there a program for visiting athletes?
Yes — drop-in sessions are $20 per session for adult and teen athletes with prior BJJ or grappling experience.
