
Clayton Phillips
Clayton Phillips, a 2nd-degree black belt under 6th-degree black belt Mauricio Villardo, began his Jiu Jitsu journey in 2006 while attending Northwood University in West Palm Beach, Florida. Born at Norfolk General and raised in Virginia Beach, Clayton has deep roots in the area. In 2018, he was awarded his black belt by his long-term friend and mentor, Mauricio Villardo.
Clayton specializes in Gi Jiu-Jitsu, No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, self-defense, and sport Jiu-Jitsu for competition. He employs a conceptual-based teaching method with a set curriculum that integrates traditional self-defense lessons with advanced modern techniques, aiming to provide a comprehensive martial arts education.
